This council assists the police and sheriff's departments in the fight against shoplifting and other crimes in the business community. The council also sponsors Business Watch, a unique computerized information sharing program which helps protect businesses from crime.
This council has a subcommittee called the Task Force Against Graffiti and Gangs. Its mission is to involve students, businesses, community and civic groups in a partnership effort toward educating the public to graffiti activity and its consequences, to develop and encourage a reporting system and to offer alternatives to gang involvement.
